The original Benson's Committee was established by the Board of Selectmen on January 23, 2001 and was comprised of citizens, representatives from the Board of Selectman, the Historical Society, the Recreation Department and a non-voting member from the Nashua Regional Planning Commission (NRPC).
The Committee met on an as-needed basis relative to the acquisition of the Benson's property and the three historic structures - Haselton Barn, the Train Station and Office Building.
The Town of Hudson Board of Selectmen and members of the Benson's Committee worked for many years trying to acquire the property from the State of NH. After many years of the property of Benson's Wild Animal Farm
On January 20, 2009, the committee reconvened and was re-energized after the Town of Hudson officially acquired Benson's property from the NH Department of Transportation.Benson's Committee was renamed shortly thereafter to Benson Park Committee.

April 1 to September 30 -- 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM
October 1 to March 31 --- 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
