Department Responsibilities:

 

The function of the Engineering Department is to manage two broad categories of activities. The first is to provide technical support to the Town's governing bodies. These bodies include the Planning Board, Sewer Utility Committee, Water Utility Committee, Conservation Commission, and the Zoning Board of Adjustments, etc. The second is to provide the review and inspection of development projects. The Engineering Department handles the following applications: Driveway Sewer (Residential/Commercial/Industrial), Sewer Acceptance, Sewer Allocation, Water (Residential/Commerical/Industrial), Water Acceptance, Water Extension, Street Acceptance, Fire Service Flow Test, Industrial Discharge (Commercial/Industrial)

Department News

Construction on Portion of Sullivan Road

Construction on Sullivan Road for water line related work, adjacent to the Hudson/Pelham town line, will take place between September 24 and October 1. This will require one lane closure and night work.

Road Work - Area of 50 Speare Road

Construction work related to Laurel Landing/50 Speare Road offsite improvements will begin September 25. Road work will take approximately 2 weeks, weather depending, and will require lane shifting and one lane closed at a time. Avoid this road if possible and expect delays.

RFP - Restroom Facility at Benson Park

Sealed Bids will be received at the Town Hall Offices, Office of the Town Clerk, 12 School Street, Hudson, NH, until 10:00 AM, local time, November 16, 2018, for the following project: RESTROOM FACILITY AT BENSON PARK HUDSON, NEW HAMPSHIRE.

Bids submitted or received after this date and time will not be accepted. This project is 100% funded by the Town of Hudson.

Scheduled Work on the Gordon Street Water Tank

The Town of Hudson is currently working to upgrade and repaint the inside and outside of the Gordon Street tank as part of the Hudson Water Utility maintenance requirements. This tank is one of three that the Town owns and operates in Hudson.

The work is currently scheduled to begin on September 17, 2018 and is expected to take four to six weeks to complete. This will require the water tank to be closed and drained prior to the start of this work.
