Elections and Voter Registration

Voter Registrations: Any Hudson resident, who is at least 18 years old, may register to vote in person at the Town Clerk's Office during regular office hours, 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. You must bring a photo ID and proof of residency and/or citizenship. If you do not have evidence of residency or citizenship, you will be required to sign either a Domicile Affidavit or a Citizenship Affidavit. Please call the Town Clerk's Office if you have any questions on the type of documentation required (886-6003).

Deadline to Register to Vote: New Hampshire does not permit anyone to register to vote during the ten days prior to an election. This allows the Town Clerk & Supervisors of the Checklist time to prepare the checklists that will be used at the elections.

Change in Party Affiliation: Registered voters may change their party affiliation for the state primary elections up to the day before the filing period opens. He/she must appear in person at the Town Clerk's Office during regular office hours to request a change in party affiliation and will be asked to provide identification. Any person may change party registration at any primary, upon oath or affirmation to the same effect, but he shall not be permitted to vote the ballot of any party at such primary (RSA 654:34(b)).

2012 Presidential Primary: January 10, 2012

Presidential Primary Voter Registration Deadline: January 3, 2012

Town Election Filing Period: Wednesday, January 25 through Friday, February 3, 2012.Town Clerk's Office will remain open until 5:00 PM on February 3, 2012 to accept declarations of candidacy.

School Deliberative Session: Saturday, February 4, 2012

Town Deliberative Session: Saturday, February 11, 2012

New Voter Registration Deadline for Town Elections: March 3, 2012

Annual Town/School District Elections: Tuesday, March 13, 2012

NH State Primary: Tuesday, September 11,2012

NH General Election: Tuesday, November 6, 2012

All elections are held at the Hudson Community Center, 12 Lions Ave, Hudson.

Polls are open from 7:00am – 8:00pm
