Kidde Recalls -- Fire Extinguishers, Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms, Dual Sensor Smoke Alarms

KIDDE FIRE EXTINGUISHER RECALL

Kidde is recalling 37.8 million fire extinguishers with plastic handles due to a potential safety issue. According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the fire extinguishers can become clogged or require excessive force to discharge and can fail to activate during a fire emergency. In addition, the nozzle can detach with enough force to pose an impact hazard.

KIDDE HARD-WIRED SMOKE AND COMBINATION SMOKE/CARBON MONOXIDE CO ALARMS

Kidde hard-wired smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are being recalled due to a failure to alert consumers of a fire or a CO incident following a power outage. See the Consumer Product Safety Commission notice for additional information.

KIDDE DUAL SENSOR SMOKE ALARMS

Kidde is recalling their dual sensor (photoelectric and ionization) smoke alarms - models PI2010 and PI9010.
