Rules and Regulations

The Town of Hudson welcomes those who use Benson Park. This property is owned by the Town of Hudson and we are very proud of it and strive to preserve it's beauty. For this simple reason we ask the following:

1. No groups of over 50 people allowed. (Over 15 and less than 50, please fill out Park Usage Form in menu and send in prior to your visit)

2. The park must be left in a clean and orderly fashion. All trash must be placed into the trash receptacles or the dumpster in the parking lot.

3. If any damage occurs while you are using the property, please call the Public Works Department.

4. Groups receiving permission are responsible for the observance of town, city, county and state fire and safety regulations at all times, as well as the Benson Park Rules (see below).

5. The Town of Hudson or anyone acting on their behalf is not responsible for any injuries occurring to participants during the course of activities while using Benson Park.

YES:

  • Motorized vehicles are permitted only in the entrance drive and designated parking areas.
  • Stay on designated trails.
  • Dispose all trash in trash receptacles or the dumpster in the parking lot.
  • Per Hudson Town Ordinance Section 188
    • Keep pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times except for dogs while within the dog park.
    • While walking a dog, you must possess the means to remove any dog waste.
    • All dog waste must be picked up and properly disposed.
    • Failure to comply may result in a fine ($25 for first offense).
  • Bicycle riders, skaters, and skateboarders must yield to pedestrians and maintain reasonable speeds at all times.
  • Fishing is permitted in accordance with New Hampshire regulations.
  • Organized groups of 15 or more must obtain a permit in advance from the Department of Public Works at the Town of Hudson.

NO:

  • No dogs permitted in the playground.
  • No motorized boats.
  • No overnight parking or camping.
  • No alcoholic beverages.
  • No discharge of firearms.
  • No fireworks.
  • No horseback riding.
  • No swimming.
  • No hunting or trapping.
  • No solicitation.

DON'T:

  • Do not feed,  touch, handle, relocate, remove, or otherwise disturb any of the wildlife within the park.
  • Do not remove or damage structures, stone walls, trees or plants.
  • Do not climb on the Old Shoe.

 

Park abuse or inappropriate behavior should be reported to the Hudson Police Department. (603) 886-6011 or 911 if an emergency.
