Join Best of Times Travel as we recreate one of the greatest musical tours of all-time featuring two of the greatest artists of all-time. This is the Ultimate Bill Joel & Elton John tribute show! Beginning in 1994, Billy Joel and Elton John toured on a series of "Face to Face" tours, making them the longest running and most successful concert tandem in pop music history. During these shows, the two played their own songs, each other’s songs and performed duets. They grossed over $46 million in just 24 dates in their sold out 2003 tour.
Billy Joel: Joel had Top 40 hits in the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's, achieving 33 Top 40 hits in the United States, all of which he wrote himself. He is also a six-time Grammy Award winner having been nominated for 23 Grammy Awards throughout his career. He has sold more than 150 million records worldwide, making him one of the best selling artists of all time. He has amassed 19 number 1 hits in his career to date.
Elton John: In his five-decade career Elton John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best selling music artists in the world. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, including seven consecutive No. 1 US albums, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10, Four Number 2 and Nine Number 1 hits. For 31 consecutive years he had at least one song in the Billboard Hot 100. His single "Something About the Way You Look Tonight"/"Candle in the Wind 1997" sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is "the best-selling single of all time".
Elton John and Billy Joel tribute artists Greg Ransom and Mike O’Brien have joined forces to create The Ultimate Tribute Show "Face to Face". Just like the original tour, each artist performs a solo set with a five to six piece Rock-n-Roll band, and then culminates the show with a Face to Face set which features both of them playing together on two pianos trading off lyrics on each song they perform. Our show is a day of hit songs, energetic performances, outrageous costumes, and true Rock-n-Roll at its finest! Nominated as the best tribute show in the country, this is a show not to be missed!
