The Town of Hudson has joined Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire (CPCNH), a non-profit corporation incorporated in October of 2021. The mission of CPCNH is to help its member communities develop their energy plans & achieve their energy goals. For more on CPCNH see their website: www.cpcnh.org/about

The Hudson Sustainability Committee invited three candidate electricity providers to give presentations to the committee on Community Power Aggregation in the late summer & early fall of 2021. The presenters were:

  • Community Power Coalition of NH (CPCNH)
  • Standard Power / Good Energy
  • Freedom Energy Logistics / Colonial Power Group

Videos from those meetings are available at Hudson Community Television. Those same candidate providers are being re-interviewed. Their new presentations are also available on HCTV and on the Presentations & Documents page of this website.

Through its membership with Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire, Hudson and the EAC have participated in the Public Utilities Commission rule making process for Community Power, which resulted in a final proposal for administrative rules approved by the PUC on July 27, 2022.

HEAC has prepared a draft Electric Aggregation Plan (EAP) and conducted a Board of Selectmen Work Session on the EAP on October 4th, 2022. The work session is available for viewing on the HCTV web site.

As required by RSA 53-E, the HEAC has conducted two public hearings. In addition, the HEAC is offering drop-in ‘office hours’ if anyone has questions on the proposal. See the HEAC Meeting Schedule page for the dates and times.
