EAP Public Hearings

New Hampshire’s updated Community Power law (RSA 53-E, as amended by SB 286 - Chapter 316, NH Laws of 2019, effective October 1, 2019, and HB 315, Chapter 229, NH Laws of 2021, effective October 24, 2021) requires a minimum of two public hearings to review the proposed Electric Aggregation Plan written by the Hudson Electric Aggregation Committee. These hearings must take place before the town elections in the spring when the citizens of Hudson will vote on the warrant article to create Hudson Community Power.

  • The first hearing was held November 15, 2022 and is available for viewing on the HCTV web site.
  • The second hearing was held January 17, 2023 and is available for viewing on the HCTV web site.

The statute governing Community Power implementation (RSA 53-E) specifies that at least one additional public hearing is required during the enrollment period after the customer notifications have been mailed. Assuming the BOS decides to stand up Hudson Community Power, the enrollment period would most likely be in the spring of 2024. The date of such a hearing(s) is therefore TBD but will be properly noticed in advance as required.
