Communications Division

Dispatcher Anyssa Sevigny and Colleen Jefferson

Our Communication Division consists of 8 full time dispatchers and 1 part time dispatcher.  They perform highly responsible communication work in receiving and dispatching police and emergency calls and messages to the appropriate authorities and personnel.  Our dispatchers operate and monitor a variety of communication and alarm system equipment including telephones, radios, computer terminals, closed circuit video systems and teletypes.  They make responsible judgment decisions, as they receive requests for police and other emergency assistance.  They are responsible for ascertaining the nature of requests and dispatching appropriate service.  Our dispatchers determine the urgency of a call and relay the information to responding officers.  Dispatchers maintain records of all incoming calls.  They are responsible for the status and safety of all units (police officers) in and out of service.  Dispatchers disseminate information concerning wanted persons, stolen motor vehicles and missing persons received by teletypes, telephone or other means.  They deal with the file maintenance of Domestic Violence Petitions, Alarms, and ICE contact information.  The Hudson Police Dispatchers input and remove missing persons, stolen items/motor vehicles in NCIC as well as all NCIC validations.  The Hudson Police Department Communication Division is staffed 24 hours a days, seven days a week.  Our Dispatchers are committed to provide professional and positive service to the community while keeping our police officers safe.
