The Operations Division of the Hudson Police Department is comprised of a number of sub divisions which are tasked with keeping our community safe and providing competent service.  The men and women of the Operations Division generally have direct contact with the citizens working and living in Hudson.  I am Pat McStravick, the Operations Commander, and I have proudly served as a police officer in Hudson for 17 years.

Our Patrol Division handles the daily calls for service and police response in a three squad system or shifts for 24 hour service.  They also provide proactive patrols of Hudson designed to reduce crime and limit collisions.  The Patrol Division also handles all crash reports and investigates many of the cases that come in day to day.  Currently, the three squads are commanded by three lieutenants and additionally supervised by four sergeants.

Our Legal Division provides resolution for investigations that have led to arrests at 9th Circuit Court- Nashua District Division.  They are led by our Prosecuting Attorney and our Court Liaison Officer.  The legal team, including our Victim/Witness Advocate, works closely with victims to best serve their needs and assure fair outcomes to our cases.

The Animal Control Division enforces state laws and local ordinances pertaining to the regulation and control of domesticated and wild animals, including the investigation of complaints concerning regulation, licensing, and control. This unit consists of one full time Animal Control Officer and one part time Animal Control Officer.

We also have a number of special units such as the Motorcycle Unit, Mountain Bike/OHRV Unit, Crash Reconstruction Team, Crime Scene Team, and K-9 Unit.  These specialty units are available to be deployed daily or as needed.

Our Operations Division is committed to providing compassionate, professional service, with honor and integrity, while we work as partners with our community.  For any questions about Operations, feel free to contact me at (603) 816-2250 or by email at pmcstravick@hudsonnh.gov.
